Andrew Parkes - Recruitment Manager

Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and recruitment expertise to the Work with York Limited team, with 25 years delivering right fit outcomes for contact centres, legal services and insurance companies. For the public sector, he has successfully sourced and placed candidates in wide ranging roles at varying levels, from Customer Service representatives, Community Rugby Coaches, Customer Support Advisors, Benefits Advisors and Executive Assistants to a Head of Regeneration, Head of City Development, Head of Communications and Engagement and an Operations Manager for Public Realm. He continues to invest time developing long lasting and mutually beneficial business relationships with service managers at the local authority.

Away from work, Andrew is a huge football fan and supporter of York City and Bolton Wanderers, as well as an FA Qualified grassroots football coach, at his local village club.  His passion for York City is evident through his volunteering work, including selling promotional merchandise on a Saturday at the club shop, or through his pop up stall ‘Parkesy’s Place’.

Stephen Horne - Recruitment Consultant

Stephen is a passionate and experienced recruitment professional and Fellow of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (FREC) with over 20 years’ recruitment experience including Construction, Engineering and Architectural sectors. Steve has worked in both public and private sectors, building recruitment strategies flexibly, in line with client short and long term growth plans and hiring needs. He has managed multiple volume recruitment campaigns working with client partners and colleagues with an ethical approach throughout.

 

Kathryn James - Recruitment Consultant

Kathryn has 21/2 years’ recruitment experience and quickly found and placed candidates, within social care and social work, for the local authority, including Adult Care Workers in Sheltered Accommodation,  Children’s Residential Support Workers, Support Workers for the Homeless Accommodation team and Mental Health Social Workers.  She also successfully transferred twelve changing lives staff to the local authority ready for takeover 01/12.

Away from work, Kathryn enjoys watching films, travelling with family and shopping with her sister.
